Here is a selection of fabric by the metre that we have recently printed. We often get asked by customers about what colour their background shade will be and here are some examples of customer’s prints that use the natural shade of the fabric to create one of the colours in the print.
The fabrics in the pictures above are natural and bleached linen, cotton panama and cotton stain. The panama and the satin come in two base shades optic and non optic.
This has proved to be very popular and some of our best selling prints are single colours printed onto natural linen and another advantage of creating your prints this way is you can very easily screen print your designs allowing you to get a much better print price.
HTS can print digitally, rotary screen or flat bed print any of your print requirements and we have very low minimum orders at very competitive prices. If you would like any samples of the base shades listed above or any information regarding our bespoke printing service please visit www.htsprint.co.uk or drop give one of our team a ring on 0800 234 6686 and we will be more than happy to discuss your print enquiry.

Here is a really good example of how to use both DIGITAL FABRIC PRINTING and ROTARY SCREEN PRINTING to achieve a successful end result. This design has been technically designed by our Australian client by arranging a selection of small areas of colours to create the camouflage to work perfectly in their environment and as you can see (or not see!) from the attached pictures they have achieved this.
The design was created to be printed digitally and this allowed the size of the colour blocks to be very small and the fit to be so precise that the blocks of colour fall exactly how the designer required them to create the camouflage. The client supplied the individual separations with TPX Pantone references and the sample prints were all printed digitally and looked fantastic.
However there was a major problem with printing this design digitally it required to be printed on a dyed ground so that the reverse of the fabric was not white. This now made the print almost impossible to print digitally so we had to try and print it with rotary screens on a colour matched dyed ground. Our design studio then had to be place the design into a rotary screen repeat and engrave a test engraving to make sure we could engrave the design with the blocks being so small, both of these were achieved successfully. The base fabric was a polycotton ripstop and this now required to be dyed exactly to the required base shade which we used a local dyer to do with a successful outcome.
The rotary screens were then engraved, colours matched the original digital prints and then bulk printed. This allowed the customer to get exactly what they required in terms of print mark on a dyed ground and it was also done at a much lower price per metre.
This is a great example of using both digital fabric printing and rotary screen printing to get the best out of both print techniques. For more information on HTS print services please visits www.htsprint.co.uk or give us a ring on 0800 234 6686 to speak to one of our team.

Sorry it’s been a while since our last blog but since we launched the new look website in February and it had an immediate effect on business and we have been very busy. We have so much to tell our customers and hopefully new customers so we are going to do everything we can to make sure that all our new prints and products are posted so you are all kept informed.
Here is a really great example of how digital printing and screen printing can work together to create a great finished collection. This collection apart from the tea towels has been printed on our new linen.
The cushions are 45cm x 45cm printed linen front with a plain linen reverse nicely finished with a feather filler, hidden zip at the base and our customers own label. This design was set up by the customer to fit the cushion panel and it has worked really well.
The kitchen range was manufactured from what we call “fabric by the metre” this is a directional repeating design that we can cut into anywhere to get the maximum use of the fabric and this has gone across the range in two designs.
The double oven gloves are a top quality product and this collection is finished off with our thermally efficient tufted towelling, if you don’t require the towelling we can replace it with print all over.
Hob covers are a really popular product and these are made with or without the towelling as per the oven gloves, finished with matching binding, loops and customers labels.
Oven gauntlets are a new product and apparently are very popular with budding male chefs or at least that’s what our customers tell us. These are printed on both sides but you could have just the print on one side if required.
Printed tea towels, we screen printed this collection on our unbleached natural 10oz ½ panama and it has printed great and really compliments the other kitchen products and it is a better fabric to use for a tea towel.
The great thing about all our printing and manufacturing is that it is all printed and manufactured in the UK and we take great pride in putting in our own MADE IN THE UK care label displaying this.
If you would like any prices, samples or you would just like to discuss your printing and manufacturing requirements please give one of our team a call on 01254 398054 or drop us an email to info@htsprint.co.uk

HTS has printed and manufactured an exclusive range of home furnishing fabrics and cushions for artist Evelyn Binns.
The strict botanical accuracy and superb artistry of seven-times RHS Gold Medal winner Evelyn Binns can now be appreciated in a new and totally exclusive range of home furnishing fabrics, cushions and even bespoke wallcoverings.
What distinguishes this unique collection from most ‘floral’ fabric designs is its use of new textile printing technology to achieve completely faithful reproduction of Evelyn’s beautiful botanical watercolour paintings on a wide range of high quality fabrics.
The Botanical Home range currently includes the four furnishing fabric designs and six cushion designs, they are all feather filled and are available in 45cm and 60cm. The 54” width fabrics are available in a variety of 100% cottons including cotton satin, half-panama, linen union and bleached linen.
This will be Evelyn’s 14th consecutive Chelsea Flower Show so they are a well established exhibitor. If you are visiting Chelsea this year you can see the collection at stand number EA113 which is at the upper end of Eastern Avenue, traditionally the part of the show where all the artists can be found. The 11 acre show is open to the public from Tuesday 21 to Saturday 25 May and attracts a total of over 150,000 visitors.

I have posted this blog because lots of new customers are not aware of how we print our cushion covers. We are bulk digital printers and we print cushion covers fronts on the roll as per the examples attached.
Some cushion printers print on pre manufactured cushion covers and although this is suitable for some markets it does have restrictions in the fact you cannot print edge to edge and you have to have plain fabric for the cushion reverse.
HTS can offer a fully bespoke printing and manufacturing service with the main advantage you can everything printed and manufactured by one company. We also have a great deal of experience and can offer you any bespoke option you might require. HTS has a massive range of fabrics to choose from both the cushions fronts and backs. We offer three standard sizes but can quote on bespoke sizes and both feather and polyester fillers are available.
If you would like our 2013 pricelist or fabric samples give us a call on 0800 234 6686 or drop us a line at info@htsprint.co.uk More details of all our bespoke printing services can be found on our website at www.htsprint.co.uk
